Magic Moment: The balancing of my professional and academic work is both the most satisfying and the most challenging aspect of my career. One milieu significantly informs the other, and a proud “magic moment” occurred in 2015 when I was awarded a fellowship with the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada’s College of Fellows — an award which honours leadership in practice and in education.

Next Big Challenge As An Industry: Affordable Housing!! Transit! Public Space that works 12 months a year! The City should be collaborating and taking advantage of the work and research being executed by our Universities and looking to global exemplars — both winter cities and cities with accelerated urban growth.

On Championing Others… Our office is 50% women. This was not necessarily by design but an aspect of diversity that we now safe-guard. Part of the reason for this is my exposure to the student body of the Master of Architecture program at UofT which is 50% women. I am promoter and role model in both realms.
